Rabies - What is Rabies?
Rabies is a highly fatal viral infection of the central nervous system, which occurs virtually in all warm blooded animals and man, and is transmitted by the bites of affected animals. The disease is transmitted mostly through the bite of rabid dogs. Other carnivorous animals like cats, jackals, wolves may also transmit the infection. Dog has been and still is the major source of rabies in Bangladesh. Among the farm animals, cattle and goats are most commonly affected in Bangladesh. http://www.blri.gov.bd/dis_detail.php?disid=3
